2024-2025Step Finance was expanding its portfolio dashboard into a mobile wallet. I designed the app, bringing portfolio tracking, asset management, and earning into one place.
A more approachable identity
We refreshed Step’s visual identity to make the product feel more welcoming. Color and illustrations brought personality into the wallet and helped guide users through onboarding, empty states, and transaction feedback.
Multiple wallets, one portfolio
Assets are often spread across several wallets, making the full picture harder to track. Wallet collections let users search for addresses and group them together, with a combined portfolio view and access to each wallet’s holdings.
Clear portfolio details
A Solana wallet can contain different types of assets, each with different details and actions. I organized holdings by asset type, with balances and performance first. Users could scan their portfolio, then open individual holdings for details and actions.
Earning without leaving the wallet
Users could compare DeFi opportunities, deposit assets, and track their positions inside Step Wallet. Each opportunity showed its strategy, expected returns, and risks before users committed funds.
